The board met on 8/3/21 and 8/19/21 to discuss the current COVID situation. Below is a letter that addresses how we will move forward with school instruction given the current situation.

The School Staff and Board of Directors have prepared a comprehensive policy for the 2021-2022 school year. If you have questions about the plan please email [email protected].

On Thursday Aug. 19th , the board changed the policy to clarify the language. The current policy and supporting information is posted below.

Central District Health Level of Community Transmission

Central District Health is publishing a weekly level of community transmission. The page will be updated every Friday. A link to the page is below.
CDH Community Transmission

Current Timeline:

  • June 2020: Worked with local health and SDE officials to determine necessary planning.
  • July 2020: Survey sent to school community. Met with Pi STEM patrons to gather input and develop COVID plan outline. Dr. Hettinger worked with the staff to create procedures within the developed outline.
  • August 2020: Board approves a Pi STEM COVID Re-Opening Plan.
  • March 2021: Board adjusts COVID plan language.
  • August 2021: Board approves updated COVID policy for 2021-2022 school year.
