Special Education Services
What is Special Education?
Special education generally refers to services provided to students age 3 to 21 with disabilities following specific state and federal laws and rules.
While not every child with a disability will require special education services, every child whose disability affects their school progress is entitled to receive a free and appropriate public education (FAPE) which meets their unique needs.
We believe:
All children deserve an appropriate education. This includes appropriate interventions at all levels designed to provide each student an educational experience that helps them gain benefit from the general education curriculum with the understanding that all students are unique in their abilities to learn;

Our special education program serves approximately 10% of the students enrolled at Project Impact STEM Academy, in a variety of ways that effectively meet the unique needs and varied learning style of each student. The following best practice components are recognized as strengths of our school:

- Promoting effective communication between the educational team, families and other significant people in the student’s life.
